Easter, The Taylor Way!

Since we have 9:00 church this year I had figured we would just do Easter morning after Church. To our surprise, the kids were up at 7 (What the....this never, ever, ever happens) so we got to do it that morning. Kason was so excited when he came into our room, he said...."the Easter bunny came!" Its fun that he is starting to remember things and get excited. After Church we came home and just relaxed a bit and then went up to Koni and Brians house for family dinner. Of course the food was great as well as the company.

These are the best pictures I got of the kids before church and then I forgot to get some more after and the kids had already changed their clothes. Grandma Ellis made Jayli the cutest little dress ever. It came complete with a matching purse and a dress just like it for her baby. Doesn't get much better in the eye of a 3 year old! I am funny about dresses for special occasions....I don't like ANYONE else to have the same one. So this worked out perfectly, nobody had anything near hers this year! Perfect!!!

So a few days before Easter we were coloring our eggs. Last year I bought the cool dye kit that had like 20 different colors and the only 4 that were used were.....blue and green for Kason, and pink and purple for Jayli. So this year I decided I would just get the cheapie box (88 cents, thanks Wal-mart!) and sure enough the same thing happened. Jayli wouldn't let me take her picture, but here is my cute Kason!

While they were working hard, I went to get Trevin. I came back into the kitchen to this..... all the eggs bathing, and not a kid to be found anywhere. They got bored with it pretty quick!

Happy Easter! (what only a month+ late!!) Give me a break, I'm busy here!!!

Nothin like........

the taste of nothin! Trevin got his first taste of food. He LOOOOOOOOVES to eat. He doesn't care what it is, who is feeding it to him or even if it tastes like nothing. He pretty much ate every drop of the cereal, didn't even spit any out. He didn't want to waste any!

Private!

So I am thinking its about time to go private. I am just wondering for all of you who are private what you think about it. I really don't want to only because its so fun to stumble across someone you know and then to have them be private is kinda annoying, but I just don't really know who out there is reading. So give me some input about what you have found!

Chubba Bubba!

How can you not LOVE chubby? We went up to Koni's house swimming on Monday. It was Trevin's first time swimming and he loved it. Isn't he the cutest chubbiest thing you've seen!

Funny Kason

Today I had Trevin down for a nap and it seems like as soon as he falls asleep is when Kason and Jayli start fighting, which means Jayli starts screaming.
So Kason takes Jayli's camera from her and she starts screaming....so I go out there and Kason knew he was in trouble. I start walking over to him (picture the old lady in the goonies!) to get the camera and he starts to run from me, around the living room and then around the coffee table, and then straight to the bathroom and locks the door. UGGG!!! So once he opens the door I tell him he has to go in his room on time out. I send Jayli to her room too. I come back into my room to tell Kasey whats goin on, and in the baby monitor I hear...
Kason: Mommmmmmyyyyy....Can I come out now?
me: ignoring him
Kason: Mommy......can you hear me? can I come out now
Me: still ignoring him
Kason: Hello out there, can you hear me...
Me: Quite Kason
Kason: Can I come out now?
me: nope
Kason: How about now
me: no

so then of course Jayli has to get in on the "can I come out yet" and after a few more "No's" they finally got to come out!
Sheesh....It's gonna be a long day!

Presents

Ok I've realized that Jayli is going to have about 100 posts for her birthday.

But this is her real birthday. We were getting ready to open presents and she didn't have any undies on so Kasey thought it would be funny to put some of Kason's on her.

She loved them, and was not wanting to take them off.

She was so careful opening all of her presents, it took her about 5 minutes to open a movie. Kason and Trevin gave her a whole box of new dress up shoes. When she opened them she said "new slippers" as in glass slippers as in she still thinks she is Cinderella!

Kason wrote her name on all of her presents....hes such a smarty pants!

After she opened all of her presents we went to dinner. Earlier in the day I had asked her where she wanted to go for her special birthday dinner. She said she wanted to go to the sketty place. She wanted to have sketty and apple juice. The day before Valentines day we had gone to Friday and this is what she had. She remembered that and that is what she wanted for her birthday. So lucky for me since its my favorite too, we headed off to dinner.


While we were ordering our food the people next to us were about done and sure enough...here comes the balloon lady. Both Kason and Jayli immediately saw her and said I want a balloon too. We were just about done eating and thinking we might make it out without doing the balloon thing, here she comes. Kason wanted a superman since he was wearing his new superman monster truck shirt and Jayli wanted a Dora. Kason told her that it was Jaylis birthday and so she made her a princess crown. She was actually really good, and the kids are still loving their balloons.

Ok this really is THE END of her birthday this year! stay tuned until October for Kasons Day!!!

Ladybugs....

So who doesn't love ladybugs right? Well do you know where they come from? I didn't...ohh but now I do. So we had these crazy annoying bugs in the backyard. I told Kasey to kill them all while he was out mowing the lawn, but he didn't! So I kinda forgot about them until one day I looked out the window while I was doing dishes and I see this.....

from inside the house I can see something stuck to the little play thing. I go out there and it is these bugs....ugggg I was so annoyed. I go back in the house and then the next day I go out to the back yard again to check it out. I realize that they are turning into lady bugs and they are

EVERYWHERE. Like.....

covering the whole handle of a shovel......

and they are LADYBUGS!!! HOW CRAZY IS THAT?????

Party #1

Here is Jaylis 1st party for this year. We had cake and ice cream while all

my family was here. Isn't this a cute cake. Yep you can get them at

Smiths....Kroger brand....and it comes with the edible stickers.

It's a funfetti cake and the sprinkles are all pink and purple. Yummy!

She was the very most excited about blowing out the candles.

She had a hard time getting 1 of them out and she slobbered

all over the cake. It was pretty funny!

Camping out

When Scott and Brittney were here for Monster Trucks they didn't want to sleep in the house with all the noise so they decided to bring their tent. Little did they know....the noise was going to follow them. Jayli is such a Scotties girl, she can't get enough of him. She was insisting that she was going to sleep outside with them. Her and Morgan gather up their pillow and their bunnies and head outside. Morgan only lasted a few minutes, and then about 15 minutes later Jayli made her way back inside too. oh well....maybe next time!!!

Monster Jam 2009

We always have such a great time at monster trucks. This year my whole family came down. We had quite the crowd in our little house. Grandma and Grandpa, Bry and Sarah, Kaiden and Morgan, and Scotty and Brittney! We spent the whole day playing. I hadn't been feeling well so I decided to sell my ticket. I was excited when Brittney said she didn't care to go and she sold hers too. We went to the pit party and then when everyone went into the show we came home, after quickly remembering I didn't have a house key and had to get Kasey to come all the way back to the van when they were just about there. Kasey always parks as far away as he can so that when they are coming home they don't have to wait in the parking lot for hours. Me, Brittney and Trevin had a fun night here. We had ice cream and watched Mama Mia and then just chatted. It was really fun. We sold our tickets to Kenny and Tate and so Kason was pretty excited when they got there and realized his new best buddy Kenny was sitting right by them. He didn't know we sold our tickets to them, he just thought he was extra lucky and they just happened to get tickets right next to theirs. They said they had great seats, (and if you watched the show) and when Captains Curse when up into the stands it was right below them. Jayli didn't care much for it and fell asleep about 1/2 hour into it and slept soundly on the floor under their feet until about 10:30. Woke up just in time to come home!!

Happy Birthday to my baby girl!

Today is Jaylis birthday. She has been so excited for it to roll around this year. She has been practicing saying she is 3 on her fingers for a few months now. This year she will have 3 parties. 1st was last Sunday while my family was here, Last night we combined with her cousin Caleb (his birthday is the 15th) and then we will do something tonight. We are planning to go to dinner somewhere fun that will sing to her and then she will open her presents.
For her birthday this year she wanted a princess cake, since she is Cinderella after all! We googled princess cakes, and this is the one she picked.

I forgot my camera at the party last night, but one of her cousins took pictures, so as soon as I get them I will add them here. Last night when we got home from the party, Jayli fell right asleep. After she was out, we filled her room up with balloons and hung crete paper from her door for her to walk through when she woke up. We didn't get to see this since she ended up in our bed again! But we'll have to reenact it later!!
