In the hospital!

Are we having fun yet?
Here I am where the epidural is working.....

Here I am between contractions when the epidural isn't working!
Gotta love the epidural!!!

Grandma Taylor and Grandpa and Grandma Ellis waiting patiently
through the night for little Trevin to make his grand appearance.

ALL DONE!!!Here he is......7 pounds 5 ounces

Getting all cleaned up. He wasn't giving them a cry at first
so they were giving him a little oxygen.

Doesn't he look perfect for only being minutes old?
First picture of Mommy and Trevin

Kari brought the kids up so they could see him.
We tried to get a picture of all of us....
theses were as good as we got! The kids
were a little preoccupied with the construction going
on right outside my window. (why didn't someone
tell me to wash off my makeup?)

Kason watching the construction.

Grandma Ellis making sure his ears are laying
down flat under his hat because thats the first thing
her mom would have done.
Having his hearing test done. He passed!!

Trevin and Daddy

Such tired boys....they had an exhausting night!

See ya at home!
Thank you so much to everyone that helped with Kason and Jayli while we were gone. Its so nice to have such a great family where you know your kids will be taken care of without having to worry about them. They had a blast sleeping over and playing with their cousins. Thanks again, we love you all!

We're Home!

Hmmm....I wonder why this didn't ever get posted. It was just saved as a draft. So now that its 3 months later...here are some newborn picture of Trevin for ya!
He was a little yellow so he was sun bathin. Jayli kept a very close eye on him to make sure he was ok.

Kason loves this little brother so much. He just cant get enough of him.

Such a good big sister

Uncle Scotty came to visit. He is so funny around babies. Gets so nervous that hes gonna break them or something.

Little T in his camo pants!

I have the best mom ever

Seriously, I don't know how people can survive if they don't get their mom to come and stay for a week after they have a baby. I guess the husbands just don't get to go back to work right away. Kasey does a great job and is a HUGE help, but there is just something about having your mom there. My mom was my lifesaver, she was able to come for 9 days when Trevin was born. She did everything. I think I only changed 3 diapers in those days. She did all the laundry (which we guessed was about 30 loads!!), dishes, cleaning, cooking, playing with the kids and snuggling the baby. It was so nice that I could go and take a nap and not have to worry about anything. I knew everyone would be happy when I woke up. I just wanted to say Thank you so much mom! I loved having you here for so long, it was fun to just hang out. The kids already miss you, so hurry and come back!!!

Happy Halloween

Ok finallyhere are the kids in their costumes........

Kason was so excited to be Wall E this year. The only costume we could find was online and it was 60 bucks. Hello....hes just a robot! So we decided to go the cheaper route and made it ourself. I think it turned out just as cute!

Jayli was a snowflake princess and loved being all dressed up. I got some glitter spray for her hair and that was her favorite part. She loved being all sparkly!

Where's Jayli??

Where's Jayli?
Ahhh...There she is!!On Friday Jayli was being little Miss Crank. I couldn't figure out what her deal was until I got out of the shower and found her like this. She had her babies, bears, and her doggie all bundled up next to her. She just wanted a nap...DUH why didn't I think of that??

This is about it.....

This is just about as Halloweeney as we get! The kids are loving the spider on the house though. Jayli tells everyone that it is a nice spider and it wont bite you, cause it has pretty eyes! Silly girl.

Here is our little Halloween treat that we made. The kids had a blast helping make them. They tasted pretty good too!!

Freezing??

Does this mean that I'm keeping it too cold in the house?

Boys!

Kasons 2 little neighbor friends came over to play one night. I knew they had the hose on, but didn't realize how dirty 3 little boys could be in such a short amount of time. They were completely covered in MUD. Kason is a little obsessed with playing in the mud lately and it was just that much more fun to have the friends join in too! Oh well, a little mud never hurt anyone right?

Sweet Kason

My sweet Kason turned 5 on the 8th. I can't believe that he is 5 years old. He is such a fun boy, constantly making us laugh. He is the best big brother to Jayli (when he wants to be). He is so smart, funny, sweet, the best hugger, hes just such a cool kid. We are so lucky to have him.

Kasey only worked 1/2 day on his birthday so we could spend the rest of the day playing. First, we went to mini grand prix. The kids love it there. They spent most of their time on the big slide then Kason did the go carts once. Its hard because Jayli isn't tall enough to do anything except the slide so she just has to sit and watch. So we didn't stay long.

Then we went home so Kason could open his presents. Here he is when we went into the garage to find his bike.

After that daddy took him for a nice long bike ride on his new bike. Its the cutest little bike ever. We thought he would have a hard time cause he is so good on his little tiny bike, but he jumped right on and away he went.

When they got home we got ready for the big birthday party. We went to the park this year so the kids could all just play. It turned out to be lots of fun. All of Kaseys family that lives in town was there. Kason loved showing his new bike to everyone that came. We had a yummy dinner....Thanks Daddy!!! The kids played a bit more, then we sang happy birthday, had cake, and then opened presents.

Here's his cake....not quite what I had pictured in my head, but he loved it so that's all that matters!!

Waiting so patiently for everyone to get ready to sing!

Thinking about his wish!

YEAH!!!! First try!

WHAT???? They came back!

Kason had to be really quick when they came back so he could beat Jayli to it. She loves to blow out the candles.

(Yeah don't mind my shirtless girl. The second we got to the park she went right into the water part and then she was cold and had to have her shirt off the rest of the time!)

Thanks everyone that was able to come, Kason had a great day.

The life of a caterpillar

While me and the kids were in Utah for the week, we looked and looked for a caterpillar to bring home. Sadly, we didn't ever find one. A few days after we got home my mom called and said they found one. She said she was going to mail it to us, but then she worried it was against the law, so they just decided to come down instead. They went out and found 2 more cute little guys. So the came for the weekend armed with 3 glass bottles full of milk weed and caterpillars! The kids thought it was the coolest thing to see them just walking around in there.

That night we noticed one of them already hanging in a "j" which means its getting ready to turn. (this isn't the first one, but the only one I got a picture of). This first one, was just hanging from one of the leaves. We had only ever seen them hang from the top of the lid, so this was new for all of us.

**Not the greatest picture, but you can kinda see it hanging from the lid**
This is the best picture we could get of the chrysalis phase. They have always turned during the night so we have never been able to see it in action. We woke up Friday morning and it was all done! The are bright green, then they turn black when they are ready for the butterfly to come out.
Isn't she pretty!?! The first one turned into a butterfly on Saturday morning. Kasey and Kason were awake and I was still in bed just listening to them chat. When they finally noticed the butterfly I heard Kason say "I better go and get mommy!" He was pretty excited to let it fly away.

Our last 2 turned into butterflies just yesterday. Both of them in 1 day. This is a picture of Kason telling Jayli all about how it started out as a caterpillar, then into a chrysalis, then this butterfly. He's got the whole process down.

Jayli didn't really care where it came from, she just loved the butterflies. When we first let it go it kinda flew at her so it scared her for a second, then she was sad, and wanted it back in her bottle.
Ever since we have let them all go, Kason has been concerned about how they are going to make it all the way back to Grandmas house because after all, they are Utah butterflies now!!
It was so fun to watch this process with the kids. Even Kasey had never seen it before, so it was lots of fun!
