Silly Kason

So yesterday on our way to church Kason said to Kasey.....
Kason..."Dad slow down, there is a cop"
then after the cop passed he said
Kason..."ok now you can go faster"
Kasey..."Kason it is still important to obey the law even when there isn't a cop around. You could get in an accident and then you could get hurt and it would be your fault because you wern't obeying the law"
Kason..."But dad...I dont even know the law!!!"

Little smarty pants! He's getting so smart, and so funny.

My Sweet Kason

I cant believe my little tiny 3 pound 15 ounce guy has turned 6. I am always amazed at how quickly you forget how small they were. Is this not the cutest, littlest face you have ever seen.

Our first family picture!

Then he decided it would be a good idea to start growing up, so he turned 1

and then 2......

then not slowing down at all, he turned 3....

getting more fun all the time, he turned 4

and then 5......

and then just recently, on the 8th, he turned 6!

Kason is such a fun kid, he's just soo dang cool. We love this boy so much. He is such a great brother to his sister and brother. They love him so much, probably almost as much as he loves them. WE LOVE YOU LITTLE BUD!

For his birthday this year we had the family party on his actual birthday (Thursday), almost everyone was there, grandma and grandpa Ellis even made the long trek to Vegas. We had dinner and cake at the park. Then he decided he wanted to have a friends party this year. I figured being able to hold him off until he was 6 was pretty good, so I gave in. He had his friends all bring their bikes to the park. They rode like crazy, had pizza and cake. He had a super fun birthday! Thanks to everyone who came!

all things scary.....

The other day Kason and Jayli were in her room just playing. I could hear them laughing and giggling so I went to see what they were doing. I just stood by the door so they wouldn't see me. I walked in on this conversation......

Kason telling Jayli

"....and there will be ghosts, and monsters, and zombies, and grandpas!" I started laughing and then I was caught and he wouldn't finish his story or tell me the beginning. I didn't realize grandpas fit in that category, but I'm just the mom what do I know!

What are your kids going to dress up as for Halloween this year?

Sweet Kason

So on Saturday afternoon Kason's little friend Johnny was over playing. It was his birthday party that night so his mom was out doing all the fun last minute things. So anyway...it was lunchtime and we got Sonic(yummm). We are getting ready to eat, all the kids are up to the table and Johnny went to take a bite of his hamburger...this was their conversation

Kason: Wait!!! We didn't say the prayer yet
Johnny: the what..
Kason: the prayer, you know...to Heavenly Father
Johnny: for what
Kason: you know...when you say prayers to Heavenly Father, you get lots of blessing.

Johnny just sat there like "Whatever!" Jayli said the prayer and then they chowed down.

I love my sweet little man, at least we're doing one thing right with them!!!

Sept 2, 2009

Just a quick post to say "HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY"
To my momma! She is the very bestest around. When I
told Kason last night that it was her birthday today he said
"we better hurry so we don't miss her party!" The party
is gonna have to wait a few days and then we will be
there to celebrate too!!!

Happy birthday mom! I love you!!!

3 little ones, all in a row

I was in the kitchen doing the dishes when Trevin
started screaming. I asked Kason if he would
play with him for a minute until I was done. After
a few seconds, all was quite again so I finished up
with what I was doing and then went to check on
things. This is what I found walking out of the kitchen.

Trevin just wants to be one of the big kids!

It's jam time!!

Kason had been begging me to teach him how
to make strawberry jam. So I figured we might
as well do it. They had a blast helping....washing.....
putting in to be mashed, measuring, stirring,
and scooping into the jars.
Kason telling me not to take his picture yet

Jayli telling me shes not putting
her fingers in it!

When it was all in the bottles, I told her
she could get the rest out with her fingers
Kason with the finished product. Doesn't he look proud
Final step: TASTE TEST....the best part

I think he approves

Jayli just wants the jam, she doesn't care about the bread
A little while later, I got in the shower.
I told Kason and Jayli to stay out of the
jam. They said ok....which I thought
they knew meant STAY OUT OF
THE JAM. But apparently not.
This is how I found Jayli on the
elliptical when I got out of the shower.

This is going to have to do for today!

It's been so long that now I don't even remember
when this was. Anyway...we have a mommy and
me playgroup with our ward and this time we went to
Peter Piper Pizza! They take the kids back into
the kitchen and show them all the cool stuff and
then they get to make their own little pizza.
They. loved. it.
Here is our 1/2 of the group waiting for our turn to go into the kitchen.
Waiting to wash hands.....

Kason scrub-a-dubbing

verrrrry carefully putting the "CHEESE ONLY" onto his pizza

Jayli putting the pepperoni on just right....
We had a great time playing with all our friends and then eating our pizza!

Happy Anniversary!

It's hard to believe that we are celebrating our 8th
Anniversary. It doesnt seem like I'm old enough to
have already been married for 8 years!!! We
have had a great time, with lots more to come.

Our engagement picture......we're babies!!

**Don't mind the terrible color in these pictures,
I had to scan them from our photo album!**

right outside the temple doors!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KASEY....
I LOVE YOU!

My lucky day!

So I was in the kitchen doing the dishes when the doorbell rang. When I opened the door a friend of mine Cathy was just getting ready to pull away. All she said was "Have a nice day!!!" and had left me a beautiful plant on my porch. Then she said she was "beautifying the world, one house at a time!" Thanks Cathy.....You totally made my day!

where does the time go.....

I can't believe Trevin is already 6 months old. "Happy 6 Months Little Man!!!" I love this little boy so much. He is such a good baby, he's very good to me!!! When 9pm comes rollin around, he is done for the day. As soon as you put him in his bed, give him his binki, and a blanket to cuddle up with he will roll onto his side and he is out until 7am!!!!!!! HEAVEN! He is so funny, he cracks me up. He instantly puts anything that touches his hand in his mouth! Here are a few recent pictures of him!

I love his big blue eyes. Hes SO DANG CUTE!!! Are you tired of me saying that yet?

OUUUUUUCHHHHHHH!!!!!

**Ok my mom brought it to my attention that I had already blogged this.........so just pass by this one...I left this one though instead cause I put down all the details**

So, Jayli was the first of the Taylor clan to have to get stitches. It was a terrible night. We had been over to Kari and Tracy's house playing. We were just getting ready to leave and when Kasey went to tell Jayli it was time to go he found her bleeding in the living room. She was still doing the "I cant breath cause I'm going to start screaming" thing. When she finally started breathing she was not a happy girl. We got the bleeding stopped and then realized it was pretty deep. We decided it would be best to take a quick (yeah right, we live in Vegas remember) trip to the ER. Kason stayed at Karis house to play with Kaci and her friends. We got there at about 10:30 on Saturday night. She had fallen asleep on the way there and woke up to the triage nurse (who was great) talking to her. He checked her out and had us sit and wait for our name to be called. They had Horton hears a who playing and so she was entertained by that for a while. They finally called us back and took us right into a room. I was thinking....sweet we will be out of here in no time!! HA!!! RIGHT! The Dr finally came in and measured...she said it would need stitches. She had said if it was under 1mm then she wouldn't need them but it was almost 2. So again, we wait and wait and wait. By this time it is like 1:30 and Jayli finally falls asleep on the bed. They told us that they were going to put her in the papoose board while they give her the numbing shot. They told us that only one of us could stay in the room so me and Trevin (who slept like an angle the entire time) chose to leave. We just went right outside the room thinking they would close the door, which they didn't so I could hear her screaming the entire time. She kept screaming, "daddy, go and get mommy" it was heart breaking. It only took them about 5 minutes from start to finish and then she was so happy to see me. Poor little thing. We finally got home at 2:30 and went to pick Kason up. It was quite the adventure, one we hope to not take again for a long long time...if ever!

I love sleeping kids.....

There is just something about sleeping kids that I can't get enough of. Trevin is so funny when he is asleep. He has to have a blanket that he can cuddle up with.

I love this picture of Kason asleep...He just looks so sweet. I love this boy

Best buddies

It's so funny...whenever Kason wants to hold Trevin he still goes and gets the Boppy! He loves to hold Trevin and they are just the best little buds! I love it

rub-a-dub

All the kids in the tub! Nothin like getting washed by your sister with a taco!

Makeover: Jayli edition

Jayli was in desperate need of a haircut, so my sweet sister
in law Kari said she would come over and do it for me. Jayli
was actually very good. He wasn't really wanting it cut,
cause she wants her hair to be "long and pretty" but she
cooperated. Its much better now, but if I had my way, I
would it it again and chop it shoulder length. I think it
would be so cute cause it would be super duper
curly, but she wont go for it. Maybe I'll have to
bribe her! She will do almost
anything for a treat!

He's a tricky one!

You cant tell super good from the picture but his face is

totally covered in SPIT! He is into blowing bubbles all

over himself!! Isn't he a cute mess!!

Easter, The Taylor Way!

Since we have 9:00 church this year I had figured we would just do Easter morning after Church. To our surprise, the kids were up at 7 (What the....this never, ever, ever happens) so we got to do it that morning. Kason was so excited when he came into our room, he said...."the Easter bunny came!" Its fun that he is starting to remember things and get excited. After Church we came home and just relaxed a bit and then went up to Koni and Brians house for family dinner. Of course the food was great as well as the company.

These are the best pictures I got of the kids before church and then I forgot to get some more after and the kids had already changed their clothes. Grandma Ellis made Jayli the cutest little dress ever. It came complete with a matching purse and a dress just like it for her baby. Doesn't get much better in the eye of a 3 year old! I am funny about dresses for special occasions....I don't like ANYONE else to have the same one. So this worked out perfectly, nobody had anything near hers this year! Perfect!!!
So a few days before Easter we were coloring our eggs. Last year I bought the cool dye kit that had like 20 different colors and the only 4 that were used were.....blue and green for Kason, and pink and purple for Jayli. So this year I decided I would just get the cheapie box (88 cents, thanks Wal-mart!) and sure enough the same thing happened. Jayli wouldn't let me take her picture, but here is my cute Kason!
While they were working hard, I went to get Trevin. I came back into the kitchen to this..... all the eggs bathing, and not a kid to be found anywhere. They got bored with it pretty quick!

Happy Easter! (what only a month+ late!!) Give me a break, I'm busy here!!!
