Happy Halloween!!

I haven't taken pictures of the kids in their costumes yet, but I will tonight. We have been getting lots of good use out of them this year.

Saturday night Kasey had a work party. We went to dinner and then to see Stomp out loud. It was really fun, really loud, but still lots of fun. It was fun to meet all the people he is working with. That night was our wards trunk-or-treat so Grandma and Aunt Keli took the kids for us. They had a great time.

Sunday was Kasey's birthday. We did the normal Sunday things and then just hung out. We ended up having his mom and 1 niece and 1 nephew over for dinner, but since they have a bigger dining room table we went to their house instead. So after we ate we were all just hanging out when Keli calls and asks if we forgot we were supposed to feed the Missionaries. I knew I didn't sign up because I wouldn't have on his birthday. So we tell them that we have plenty of food left and they are welcome to come over. So they hurry right over and ate dinner too. Then we had cake and sang "Happy Birthday" Kason was loving all the candles. Here is a picture of the candy bar bouquet we made for him.
Monday I dint think we did anything too exciting.
Tuesday Kason had preschool. He is finally starting to go again without a fight which is very nice for me. We rode bikes there so luckily Jayli feel asleep on the way home. After Kasey got home we hurry and had dinner and then went to a Halloween Carnival. It was really fun. The kids got tons of candy and its even the good stuff. Me and Keli left early to go to our ward volleyball game. It is really fun playing. I'm SOOOOO not good, but I still have a lot of fun. After Kasey and all the kids were done at the carnival they came up to watch us play. We didn't get home until around 9:30 so we have had to wait until today...Halloween day to carve our pumpkins. Hopefully the kids will wake up soon so we can get them done. And that brings us to today....Now you're all caught up on our last week! .
Here is a quick picture of Jayli's new piggies! I cant believe its long enough to pull it all back.

Preschool day 1l!!

So we had preschool at our house for the first time yesterday. It was really a lot of fun. We made sugar cookies and the kids loved that. Then we colored a star, cut it out and made it into a necklace. I asked them if they knew a song that had a star in it and they all started singing. So I had them all come into the living room, get up on the coffee table (probably not such a good idea, since I had been telling them they couldn't jump off it earlier, oh well) and they had their stage. This is what they sang to me....

So..... who's kid is the one screaming the song. Kason is definitely just like his dad, little show off. I can just picture him during a primary program doing the same thing.

I hope the kids had as much fun as I did yesterday.

Nursery

Jayli went to nursery for her first time yesterday. She loved it. When we got there they were having treats so she just sat down and started chowing away. As the kids would get down to play she would just stand up and move down the table to the next chair. She didn't want any food to go to waste, so she was just helping them clean it all up. She was by far the smallest one in there but she had a great time. She loves to play with kids especially when there is another girl!!!
They sang to Kason in primary since we haven't been to our ward since his birthday. He thought that was pretty cool and he even got his very own candy bar. He was very nice to share with us, even tried to give me his last bite. What a sweetie!

Not much goin on around here today, just trying to get cleaned up from the weekend. Ya know, normal Monday stuff!!

Here is a funny video of the kids that I just found. We are playing with a laser light and then its pretty funny of Kason laughing. Don't mind the whining at the first and the fact that you don't see a face through almost the whole thing!!

Foto Friday!

Ahhh Cute kids! Kasey is always telling me
that Jayli looks like a sheep dog when her
bangs are hanging in her face. She makes a pretty
cute sheep dog, don't ya think?

Jayli trying to play with a few of Kasons
toys before he wakes up.

As soon as Kason woke up today he said
"Mom, I need my spider man hat on so I can get out of bed"

Our first encounter with fruit by the foot.
Kason had to unroll his whole thing and then said
"Whoa...this is really really really big"
Then he rolled it into a ball and shoved it into his mouth.

I don't really have much to say today, so I'm just gonna put up some new pictures.
Every time Jordyn comes over to play she wants to have goulosh for lunch. So I decided I would make it for them. The only requirement for having goulosh is all kids have to be stripped down. They always tend to make a mess, so its much easier if they are naked! They don't seem to mind at all.
Mommy being the jungle gym!

Goofy cheesy Kason

"Yep I just picked out all the M&Ms out
of the trail mix"

Happy Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ALLLLLLLLLISON.........
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

We hope you had a fun fun birthday!
We were waiting for you all night, and you were a no-show
for your own surprise birthday party.

Smart Kids!

On Tuesday Kason was at preschool. When I got there to pick him up the girl in charge that week said she had a little story for me. I was worried for just a second but then once she started laughing I figured all was ok. They had made a fan out of a paper plate and Popsicle stick and she wrote each kids name on it. Kason was not going to take his because that WAS NOT his name. She had spelled it Kasen instead of Kason. He knew that it was not right and he kept telling her over and over that it wasn't his name. She just thought he wanted a different fan. Kason is wayyyy into spelling these days and trying to figure things out. The other day I was in making my bed and he came in and said "mommy did you know box is spelled B-O-X" I was a little surprised and asked him where he learned that. He told me "On Word World" I thought oh great here I have this smart little boy and he is learning it from TV!!!
Jayli has also learned a new trick.....she can now take her shirt off all by herself. She gets so excited thinking that she is so big.
Ok thats all I can think of for now, I have some new pictures that I will be back later to put up!

What a deal!

So I always look at the grocery ads when they come in the mail but I never expected to get these kind of deals. While I was looking at Albertsons I saw on the front page they were having a huge sale. The price was 10 for $25.00 but once you bought 10 you saved an instant $15.00 so everything was $1.00 each. I could tell from the pictures that I definitely wanted to go but I didn't realize how much fun it would be once I got there. I kept putting it off because I didn't want to take the kiddos with me and then once Kasey would get home I would forget about going. My sister in law told me about a website www.couponsurfer.com where you can get tons of coupons. I've never been into the coupon thing before, but I just may have to change my ways. A lot of the things that were on the ad also had coupons on the website. Just for example.....there was a coupon for GoGourt...save $1.10 on 2 packs. Each pack was on sale for $1.00 so when buying 2 I would pay $2.00 but then I had a coupon for $1.10 off. So lets just say we are very stocked up on GoGourt, Dora yogurt cups, Pillsbury crescent rolls, grands biscuits, ready to bake cookies, cinnamon toast crunch, Reese's puffs (the big $5.09 boxes), chex, fruit roll ups, gushers, fruit by the foot, granola bars, fiber one bars, fiber one cereal, microwave popcorn, and the new weight watchers progresso soups. I spent $42.00 and my receipt said I saved $179.00 ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-NINE DOLLARS!! Can you believe that. I was amazed. We had so much fun shopping. It was quite the sight I'm sure. My sister in law, mother in law, and me all with our own baskets flipping through our coupons. Now I just need to clean out my pantry so I can put everything away and get it off of my kitchen table. Anyone wanna come over for cookies and yogurt?!?!

Silly Kason

I went out to get the mail and among all the regular boring stuff Kason had 2 birthday cards. When I showed them to him, he got soo excited. I told him that the first one was from his Great Grandpa Deardorff and immediately he said "Ohhhh he loves me mommy!!" He was very excited to see the cold hard cash inside. When I asked him what he wanted to buy he said "umm...maybe some new race car underwears!" He then decided to open the second card. I told him that it was from his Primary teacher. He opened it to find some Thomas the train stickers, so excited he said "I think she misses me, we better go to Church right now" He is such a funny little guy. Then his Aunt Kari brought him over a present today too that was a Mater pillow (so cute by the way). He is still getting spoiled and his birthday was 2 days ago.
For his party we all went to the park on Saturday. We had pizza and race car cake. It was pretty windy but we all still had a lot of fun. Kason of course got very spoiled with lots of toys and lots of fun. Whenever I tell Kason that he is 4 now he has this mini meltdown because "I don't want to be 4, I just want to still have a K" He must think that his name is going to change or something and he is a little obsessed right now with the letter K! I tell him that his name will always have a K and he doesn't seem to believe me, for now anyway. Kason was excited to have all of his family at his birthday party. He had both Grandmas and Grandpas, Scott, Brittney, Keli, Jay, Braden, Jordyn, Kristi, Derek, Koni, Christene, Kari, Kenny, Kaci, Kurt, Christene, Courtnie, Caleb, Raegyn and of course mom, dad and Jayli!
I still don't believe that I have a 4 year old. Where has the time gone.

NEW YORK BABY!!!

Yesterday marked a whole week since we’ve been home from vacation. I can’t believe it’s already over. We had a great time. Me, Mom, Allison, Marilyn, and Tammy all went to New York for a girl’s trip. It was so much fun. We took the red eye flight so we would have an extra day there. Sooo after that we were all pretty tired the first day. We went on a city tour and since we all kept falling asleep (sitting in the front of the bus with the tour guide starting at you, isn’t the funnest) we decided to get off the bus. We went to Central Park and found a nice grassy shady spot and all took a little snooze. We all woke up feeling much better and then the rest of the trip the time change wasn’t too big of a deal, well to me anyway. We went to 2 shows…we saw Legally Blonde and Hairspray. I loved loved loved Legally Blonde, but Hairspray was really good too. We went on 2 city tours during the day, 1 at night and then on a boat out to see the statue of liberty. It was really cool. We walked across the Brooklyn Bridge..Ok only half of it before it started to rain and I had a tragedy with my shoes!!! This was my first experience with the subway. I loved it. I think it is the only way to travel in a big city. I was a little bit disappointed that I didn’t see a big huge fat rat, or some sort of entertainment. Must have been a slow week! We did lots more stuff that at the moment I can’t remember, so now I’ll just show some pictures

The morning we got there in Times Square

Me with the Big Bad Bull!!!

The fire station right across from ground zero

Me with Chuck in the back ground at the Today Show.
I didnt get on TV..boo.. but we saw Tammy!!

The cutest little old church in the back.

The Brooklyn Bridge...So cool

A real NYPD officer! They were so nice

The Statue of Liberty in all her glory

Samuel L. Jackson

Waiting for some street performers to start their show.
Ok now I think I am all up to date with everything going on here. Until next time.....

Here it goes again!!

Ok I’ll try this again…….now I actually have no idea what I was going to say yesterday…
Oh yeah make over!! So on Friday while Kasey was at work I got bored so I decided I would paint our bathroom. We had a can of kiwi smoothie colored paint left from when we painted the kitchen. We did ½ of it before we decided we hated the color, so I thought maybe it would look ok in the bathroom. So I got that all done and while I was painting the trim I decided to paint the cabinet. It’s amazing the difference a coat of paint can make. Then on Saturday we continued the project into our bedroom. It looks amazingly better. Now I just need to get some new vinyl’s made, pictures back up on the walls, and the new carpet in and we’d be good to go. I’ll take pictures once it’s all finished.
I can’t believe that in less than a week my little Kason will be 4. He is so excited for his birthday this year. He was telling Kasey that after his birthday and he will be for then he will be a man just like daddy. Then Kasey went on to tell him that he doesn’t want him to grow up and Kasons response was “Daddy sometimes little boys grow up and get big!” The mind of a 3 year old! I asked him what he wanted for his birthday and all that he cares about is getting a chocolate cake. He can’t wait for it. When I asked him what he wanted to have for dinner at his party he said he wants cantaloupe. Should be nice and easy for me, cake and cantaloupe!!
Jayli is a total crack up. She is being so funny lately. Apparently we call Kason “buddy” a lot because that is what she calls him now. She will just be sitting playing and start screaming “BUDDY!!!!” Kason loves that just a little bit! She is still obsessed with shoes. First thing she does when she wakes up…puts on her shoes. She finally isn’t teething for a minute. I’m sure anytime she will start with another one.
